Special Ed Students in the Cloud

Wade Wingler (@INDataProject) of the INData Project at Easter Seals Crossroads asked me to present at their one day conference today - Assistive Technology and Cloud-Based Computing.  I agreed and presented on what I called - Special Ed Students in the Cloud.  You can view the entire day's presentations from the INData website - Full Day Trainings, click the link near the bottom to view the archive.

During the presentation I asked the participants to come up with more ideas to use with each of the tools I presented on.  You can find all those great ideas on this Google Doc - Special Ed Students in the Cloud Ideas.  Please feel free to add to the list and share away!

Assistive Technology Radio

The INData Project, over at Easter Seals Crossroads in Indiana has an interesting new way to catch up on Assistive Technology information.  Assistive Technology Radio is a free, 24 hour radio station that replays past episodes of Assistive Technology Update as well as training's they have done.  Lots of great ideas and thought shared here - head over to http://www.assistivetechnologyradio.com to take a listen.

Featured Interview on Assistive Technology Update

I recently had the opportunity to be interviewed by Wade Wingler of the INData project for his podcast, Assistive Technology Update.  If you haven't checked out this podcast I highly recommend it for your weekly dose of AT news, questions, and interviews.  The podcast is live with my interview and you can find it in iTunes at Assistive Technology Update or at their blog - http://blog.eastersealstech.com.

INData Project & Podcast

Jeremy posted recently about using podcasts to Listen & Learn, and I found at least one that I had not hear of before.  Wade Wingler (@indataproject) hosts a weekly podcast about AT, answering questions & interviewing leaders in the field.  This podcast has become one of my favorites!

Wade always starts off the podcast reviewing a ton of AT news and products, and there is so much that I learn just for those few short minutes.  He typically answers a few questions and does an interview.  One of the most recent was with Claudio Guigliemma of the Lucy Environment project.  A project whose aim is to create an accessible computer environment available anywhere you use a computer (based in the cloud), what a fantastic idea!!!

There is tons more information shared on the blog - http://blog.eastersealstech.com - so make sure you check that out too!  You can download the Assistive Technology Update from the blog or via iTunes.
