POV Films

If you are interested in using documentary films in your classroom, I suggest you check out this resources from PBS.

POV, the documentary film series on PBS, lends its films out to teachers - for free! Browse and borrow over 80 films in our lending library that cover a wide range of topics, including criminal justice, immigration, government, and the environment.
  • Register in the POV Community Network (it's free)
  • Activate your account: Check your inbox for an activation link and temporary password.
  • Request: Log­in to your account and click "Create an Event."
  • Screen: We'll send the DVD to you prior to your classroom screening date.

All films have accompanying standards-aligned curriculum with streaming clips, free for download -
