#AppMondayTAS - LetterSchool

I read about LetterSchool on OT's with Apps.  A great blog about Occupational Therapy and using mobile devices.  I was impressed with the review so I decided to download the lite version.  It didn't take me long to realize that I needed the full version!

LetterSchool has quite a few options for practicing basic letter and number formation.  It includes both upper and lower case letters in Zaner-Blosser, Handwriting Without Tears, and D'Nealian style.  You can set up to 3 user accounts in the app.  Each letter or number has 3 levels to complete.  Level 1 you have to touch where you start the letter and it will finish the line.  Level 2, you have to draw the full line before you can go on.  Level 3 starts with prompts, but then removes them as you write (it will bring them back if you need help).

The animations after each level are quite engaging and it mixes them up with every letter.  The app is $2.99 and well worth the money.  If you have any students working on letter formation this is a great app to try and have some fun!
